Broward County Institutions committee AA Florida

“The Broward County Institutions Committee is a group of AA members who volunteer their time for the purpose of carrying the message of recovery from the disease of alcoholism into the Corrections and Treatment facilities of Broward County.

The Broward County Institutions Committee focuses on the process of “one drunk, talking to another” as the most effective means of carrying the AA message.”

BCIC takes A.A. meetings into numerous treatment facilities and 5 correctional facilities, at the present time. Each volunteer (or home group) commits to chairing a meeting at a specified facility every other week.

“Practical experience shows that nothing will so much insure immunity from drinking as intensive work with other alcoholics. It works when other activities fail… Carry this message to other alcoholics! You can help when no one else can. You can secure their confidence when others fail.”
